Fall

Fall has definitely arrived! We have had a cold, stormy day filled with black, billowing clouds that looked rather angry at times. Chill has filled the air tonight, and a heavy frost is predicted. I harvested three very large bowls of tomatoes tonight and covered the plants with a heavy tarp, hoping to protect them and prolong their lives for another week. Morning will reveal if my efforts were successful.

On Saturday, I went out and enjoyed some of the colors that are painted across the landscape. I love the beautiful reds, yellows, browns, and oranges that God paints on each tree and plant this time of year.

Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each. . ~ Henry David Thoreau
