We were at our favorite deli in Post Falls yesterday, grabbing some lunch, when suddenly everyone in the place was staring at the TV on the wall. What was the big news story that stopped everyone in their tracks? It must have been something big, right, like the death of a world leader, war, natural disaster? Well, it was a bit more light-hearted. They were talking about goats. Yes, goats. Goats that fall over with any loud noise, if they are scared an any way, or even just excited to get their food. These goats fall over, get stiff as a board for a few seconds, and then pop back up. Strange, huh?
Hopefully, we don't go through life the same way, that whenever we get scared or life throws us something new, we fall over, we retreat from reality because it's easier to deal with things that way. Instead we need to learn how to get through the unexpected, the tough times, and stay grounded in our beliefs, in our faith, in who we are and not let anyone shake us up.
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (New Living Translation)
Keep alert. Be firm in your faith. Stay brave and strong. Show love in everything you do. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (Contemporary English Version)
My dear friends, stand firm and don't be shaken. Always keep busy working for the Lord. You know that everything you do for him is worthwhile. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Contemporary English Version)
"Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Job 11:13-16 (New International Version)

Between you and Slight Detour, I have had my ab workout today from laughing myself silly! Those goats are something else.
Thanks for sharing. I wonder if you could inject some of their genes into a politician or two (hint: the ones who lack morals and family values) during their next public speech? Ha! Now, that would really tickle my funny bone! ;-)
Aspire
Aspire, that would be great! We should work on figuring that one out! ha!
Thanks for always sharing your talents both in writing and photography with us. The Lord has blessed you with many gifts and these are just a couple of them.
You neglected to mention your birthday yesterday. We all had a great time spending the day with you and laughing with the little girls on that tire swing.
May the Lord continue to bless your life. Love, Mom & Dad
