He Waits

It can be easy to sit back and bring all our requests and problems to God, expecting Him to fix our problems. When He doesn't, we wonder 'why,' 'isn't He listening,' 'doesn't He care,' 'why is He so far away' we ask ourselves. I don't think God moves far away. I think we move from Him. I think there are times when He may be quiet in our lives so we seek Him more earnestly, more wholeheartedly, more on a relational basis, but He doesn't leave us. He wants us to be real, honest, to lay it all at His feet. He doesn't want us to treat Him like a geenie to come and give us what we WANT, what we think is best for our lives, but to always be talking to Him about everything, the good, bad, hard times, times of plenty. He wants us to seek Him in a real, personal way. The bible tells us that He will never leave us if we are His kids. Do you feel far from God today? What can you do to change it? He waits................
