A house that is a home.
Wood heat that warms us in our home
Food and water to provide for our needs
Little things that were our grandparents, that have no earthly value but a lot of heart value to both of us
A bed to lay my head and rest
A yard to grow flowers, berries, and garden crops in, as well as to sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors
Books, of which I have plenty, that line a couple walls in my home. Somehow, I find comfort in books and in the knowledge they possess within
"Where is home? Home is where the heart can laugh without shyness. Home is where the heart's tears can dry at their own pace." ~Vernon G Baker
""A True Home - A roof to keep out the rain. Four walls to keep out the wind. Floors to keep out the cold. Yes, but home is more than that. It is warmth of loving hearts, light from happy eyes, kindness, loyalty, comradeship. Where you go for comfort when you are hurt or sick, and where joy is shared and sorrow eased. Where all are respected and loved. Where the simplest food is good enough for kings because it is earned. Where money is not so important as loving-kindness. Where even the teakettle sings from happiness. That is home."" ~ Ernestine Schumann-Heink
